As I mentioned in my 2 previous posts, I’m currently on some kind of quest to discover Indonesian food, and so far I’m loving it! Indonesian food is unique in that it's flavors are much more complex than the subtler tastes associated with most western cuisine. The cuisine has taken it’s influence from India, the Middle East, China, and even Europe. The main staple for Indonesian cuisine is rice which is called nasi in Indonesian. Rice is eaten with most dishes here, even with soup, which is somewhat an unusual concept for westerners.
